On a somewhat related note, I have in front  of me the repair bill from May 
of 1962 to overhaul my dad's Super C. We drove it to the dealer and picked 
it up when done. All work was done by the dealer and it was a complete 
overhaul; sleeve& piston set,$53.13; reground crank, $44.14; three 
valves,$1.53 ea.; fan belt $1.99; 6 qts. oil $2.70 for all 6 qts. and the 
list goes on. Bottom line,      parts $133.80, labor $85.00; for a grand 
total of $221.50. Such was the past.
